Parker After School Care Program

Caring for your children with a variety of affordable activities in a safe environment

The Parker Elementary After School Care Program is a service offered by the Parker PTO. The mission of the After School Care Program is to develop knowledge and character of students within a safe and recreational environment. The ASCP is a program for children whose parents need a loving and fun environment for their children for an extended school day. Our first priority here at Parker ASCP is the safety and well being of the children participating in our program.

Our Aftercare Staff

The staff consists of Parker teachers and paraprofessionals, HISD teachers, and high school/college students. Ms. Bonny Battles (BBATTLES@houstonisd.org) and Kris Denning (kdennin1@houstonisd.org ) are the coordinators for the program.

A Typical Day at Parker’s After School Care Program

All children signed up for After School Care arrive at the cafeteria for check-in. Each grade level is assigned to a table. Within the first ten minutes after school ends, all staff members check their students in.  When all children have been checked-in, they are provided a snack, after which each grade level is directed to a certain activity with a staff member. Students work on their homework before going on to other activities.

Enrichment classes are offered throughout the year for an additional fee. A one-time non refundable registration fee of $50 is required for all enrichment classes
