212° Theme

The Extra Degree.

This year, our school-wide theme is 212°, The Extra Degree. The premise behind our theme is: At 211°, water is hot. At 212°, it boils. And with boiling water comes steam. And steam can power a locomotive. This theme reminds each of us to take the extra step in our efforts to improve the academic and social lives of each student at Parker. Our teachers will be discussing this theme with their students throughout the year. We’ll also be honoring students, staff, parents and community partners for providing examples of 212° acts, such as 212° kindness, 212° leadership, and 212° support. I would like to encourage you to talk to your children about their efforts to take the extra degree in all that they do this year at Parker.
